Universal Design and Visitability: From Accessibility to Zoning

 

The Ohio State University in collaboration with the National Endowment for the Arts, the John Glenn Institute for Public Service and Public Policy, the Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity, sponsored a two-day seminar on universal design and visitability in 2006. As a result of this conference an e-book has been published titled "Universal Design and Visitability: From Accessibility to Zoning"

Conference program

The conference wa held in Columbus, Ohio July 13-14, 2006. The theme: "Universal Design and Visitability" encompasses a variety of areas (design, public policy, zoning and advocacy) and cuts across different places and scales (residential, institutional, city/regional).
