The following continuing education courses will be available in the future:

Big Box Retail: This course covers trends in big box retail, regulatory approaches, and incentives for big box retail. The course instructor, Jennifer Evans-Cowley, PhD, AICP provides strategies for effectively dealing with big box retail.

Comprehensive Planning: This course covers the principles of comprehensive planning, discusses the role of the comprehensive plan and looks at examples of comprehensive planning processes.

Crime Prevention through Environmental Design : Dean Brennan, AICP with the City of Phoenix explains the Safe Communities program used by his city. Ralph Taylor discusses studies of perception of fear and crime. This course also covers the fundamentals of CPTED.

Form Based Zoning: This course covers the basics of form-based zoning, provides examples of form based zoning, and discusses how this type of zoning can be applied in your community.

Universal Design and Visitability: This course covers the basics of universal design and visitability, provides examples of zoning and building codes for universal design, and discusses how this type of design can be applied in your community.
