Your Academic Advisor
At orientation, you'll be assigned an academic advisor. Advisors are professional staff members who are trained to help you navigate the complexities of the university. You can expect your academic advisor to:
- Advise you with regard to degree planning and curriculum requirements
- Refer you to other university resources, whether academic or co-curricular, when necessary
- Help you understand your role and responsibilities as a student at Ohio State
Your academic advisor is your number one resource for information about the university and degree requirements. You should plan to meet with your academic advisor regularly to review your progress and share any concerns.
Your advisor is assigned as follows:
- Angi Beer - advises all KSA honors students and students in the Architecture Scholars program
- Amy Shaw - advises all other KSA students
Additionally, during the academic year, you will have the opportunity to receive advice from several graduate advising assistants: Greg Delaney, Anthony Prousi, and Bradley Blumensheid.
