Fallingwater

Fallingwater was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1936 for the Kaufmann family. The Kaufmann's, owners of the large department store, contracted Wright to design a vacation home on their land in bear run, pa. The home is situated right on top of a waterfall, given its name of Fallingwater. The basic design is the incorporation of landscape into the house.

The students will take a day trip on a Saturday during the fall [on an away football game] to visit this location. This trip is available to Honors & Scholars students at a very nominal cost.
